From the back tees, Rutland County measures a healthy 6401 yards, the yellow tees offer a challenging 5922 yards whilst the ladies face a testing 5277 yards.
The course begins by heading east alongside the site of the lost medieval village of Hardwick and skirts the boundary of the disused airfield RAF Woolfox Lodge. During construction many practice bombs were unearthed, indeed in the old farming days "the farm workers harvested bombs like they were potatoes!"
