Hi I just wanted to say what a great day we had yesterday (2^nd Feb).

Prospects didn’t look good as we drove up the A1 into snow. We really expected the course to be closed. But your ground staff did a great job of clearing the snow from the temporary greens to allow us to play. I think the shop sold out of yellow balls!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and the catering was spot-on.

Rutland County was a new course for most of our members, but I’m sure you’ll be seeing us again.

Just a quick line to say thanks for the exceptional value day at Rutland last Friday. Course was in exceptional condition for the time of year, had we been playing in the Spring or Autumn you couldn't have expected much better.

The hospitality in the club house was good in fact there wasn't anything we could fault. many many thanks please keep our society updated we will no doubt be back in the summer. Best regards

Dear Rutland County GC

On behalf of the Society i would like to thank all members and staff of Rutland County Golf Club for hosting our society golf event [The Winter Warmer] in December 2011.

The golf course was in tremendous condition for the time of year. The quality of the course is a credit to your Club and a testament to the skill of the green staff. This is not the first visit of the society to this venue. Over the past decade we have been delighted to return to Rutland County GC upon a regular basis. In this duration of time we have never been upon a winter tee or temporary green. It is the only guaranteed repeat venue in the societies’ yearly golfing schedule. It is well to the liking of the members and proved [yet again] to be a fitting venue for one of our competitions

The society members were also very pleased with the provision of a good quality meal, in such a well furbished clubhouse. The service we received from staff was well timed, reliable, prompt and efficient.

I would also like to personally thank your golf society team for organising a successful day for our society.

The consensus of opinion of the society members present for this competition was that they would be exceptionally pleased to return to Rutland Co for another event. We hope to visit you again for another superb day of golf at some time in the futre. Thank you to everybody at Rutland County Golf Club.

Sir Scholefield Stag Invitational @ Rutland County Golf Club

We met on a blustery Saturday morning at Rutland with a warm welcome. A group of friends had travelled from as far as Lincoln to join me on my special day. The more wary golfer arrived early for complimentary use of the Par 3 course with the more experienced soaking up the Guinness with bacon butties and the pleasure of watching Ireland take on Australia in the club house.

The staff were warm and welcoming to the society and all were checked in efficiently. The course was in fantastic condition with tight fairways and receptive greens. The blustery conditions made some holes a real challenge. The friendly warning of the pro to keep out of the rough was on this occasion a most handy peace of advice!! Its just a shame the clubs thought otherwise...

As a member of Heckington Golf Society we will most certainly be returning for another challenge in the near future. Once again thanks to all the staff for the fantastic day!!

Dear Tracy,

I am the organiser of an annual away day for a mixed group of golf club members at Menzies Cambridge Golf club.

All 22 players have commented very positively of their experience in terms of the Driving Range facilities and friendly welcome from the Pro Shop staff.

Play moved very well and the quality of fairways and greens make this course a fair test of golf.

We appreciated the halfway house with plenty of seating for a very small charge payable to the Ladies section.

The Catering staff efficiently attended to all our needs, (despite having a large group of members playing a club match and requiring dinner immediately in front of us),

The quality and value of our Sunday roast dinner in the dining room made an excellent close to our very enjoyable day.
